FAQ
How long are gift cards valid?
Gift cards never expire. However, to help us manage outstanding balances fairly, a small monthly service charge will apply to unused cards after 3 years from date of purchase.
What happens if I miss an appointment booked with a gift card?
If a client books an appointment using a gift card and does not show up or fails to cancel with proper notice, the full value of the missed session may be deducted from the gift card.
What if I lose my gift card or it gets damaged?
Lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards may be replaced only if you can provide the original receipt or the gift card number. Unfortunately, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or unauthorized use of cards.
What happens if I don’t use my gift card right away?
We encourage you to schedule your wellness session at your earliest convenience. If a gift card remains unused for more than three (3) years from the original purchase date, a $1 monthly service charge will begin to deduct from the card’s balance.
Why is there a service charge after 3 years?
This policy helps us offset the administrative costs of maintaining long-term unused balances. We’ve set a generous 3-year window to give you plenty of time to redeem your gift.
Can I check my balance or expiration date?
Absolutely. Feel free to call or visit us, and we’ll gladly check your card balance and usage timeline.
Do service charges stop once I use the card?
Yes. Once you begin using your gift card—even partially—the monthly charge no longer applies.
How can I avoid the service charge fee?
Just schedule your massage or wellness service within three years of the gift card purchase date. We’d love to see you soon!
Do I need to bring my gift card to my appointment?
Yes. Gift cards must be physically presented at the time of service. We cannot look up gift card balances or numbers without a receipt or the original card.
What happens if a listed service is no longer offered?
After six (6) months from the date of purchase, gift cards revert to their original dollar value, regardless of whether they were purchased for a specific service or spa package. If a designated service or package is no longer available, the card may be used for other services or products of equal value.
Can I redeem part of a spa package or must it be used all at once?
If a package listed on a gift card is not redeemed in full during a single visit, the remaining value will be retained on the card as a dollar balance to be used toward future services or products.
Can I give my gift card to someone else?
Absolutely. Gift cards are fully transferable and can be shared with a friend or loved one. We’re honored to support their wellness journey, too! Just make sure the recipient brings the physical gift card or provides the valid card number at the time of service.
If you’d like to officially transfer a gift card in our system (especially for digital tracking), feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.
Do donated gift cards have an expiration date?
Yes. All gift cards that are donated by The Palms Massage & Wellness—for fundraisers, raffles, or community events—will expire three (3-6) months from the date of issuance.
